How to get to the protest
Wokingham Borough Council
Cycle storage is available for visitors to lock their bikes at the main entrance of the building. To discover the best cycle route to Shute End, visit the Cycle Streets website.
From Reading direction public transport travel options are:
Rail to Wokingham Station – about 5 minutes walk to Civic Offices
– SWR Waterloo train – stops at Earley, Winnersh Triangle and Winnersh
– GWR Gatwick train – no intermediate stops
Bus to Wokingham – stop by the Station probably best. Allow 5 minutes walk to Civic Offices
Lion Bus 4 or X4 runs along Wokingham Road
Traffic can be very dense and Shute End is undergoing major works so access for vehicles and pedestrians is only from the one-way Station Road (via a single-track entry) and there is very limited on-site free parking. We suggest parking at the Station Car Park by turning right from Reading Road down Station Approach. http://news.wokingham.gov.uk/news/parking-changes-at-shute-end-civic-offices/ See car parks page for details of other car parks.
